YANKEES TRANSACTIONS TODAY: INJURY BUG CONTINUES

Precautionary x-rays taken last night on C Brian McCann’s right hand were negative.

An MRI given last night to C Francisco Cervelli revealed a Grade 2 right hamstring strain. He will be placed on the disabled list prior to Tuesday’s game with the Cubs (retroactive to today).

Following Sunday’s game, RHP Shane Greene was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
