Queens, NY---A new professional wrestling organization, headquartered in the New York metropolitan area, will present its first show, “Resurrection”, at the Resorts World Casino NYC on Saturday night, March 8. Although it is not prepared to challenge the goliath, World wrestling Entertainment (WWE), WPW (World Premier Wrestling) will feature former stars of the major promotions as well as favorites of independent, local shows.

As the promotion lists no champions on its website, several of the ten scheduled matches are billed as championships or eliminations. The Empire State Championship will be between Justin Credible and Molta “The Damager”. Credible is a veteran of the WWE and ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling), where he was single’s and tag team champion. There will also be two top contender matches for that title on the card.

The women’s Championship Elimination will feature two very familiar female wrestlers. Mickie James was a five time WWE Women’s Chap and WWE Diva’s Champion. While in the TNA (Total Nonstop Action), she was the Women’s Knockout Champion three times. In addition to her wrestling on the independent circuit, she has released country music albums and tours. Her opponent on Saturday, Angelina Love, was a foe of James in TNA, where Love was the Knockout titleholder five times.

There will be two Men’s World Championship Elimination bouts. Matt Morgan, a twice holder of the TNA Tag Team tile, will be in one bout and Queens native and former public school instructor Matt Striker will be in the other.
The Cru and former ECW mainstays FBI will face one another for the WPW tag tile.
Capping off the excitement will be a 20 man in the ring battle.

The charismatic wrestling star of the first Wrestlemania, Rowdy Roddy Piper will host “Piper’s Pit”, a long-time favorite of pro wrestling aficionados.

The bouts will begin at 7:30 pm. Ringside seats are $60 at the door and $50 in advance. General admission seats will go for $40 at the door and $30 in advance.

Earlier in the afternoon, 2 pm- 6pm, Resorts World will have a fan fest, “Holy Grail” with dozens of wrestling stars signing autographs and merchandise available for purchase t vendor tables. Admission to this event is $10 or free with ticket purchase to the evening event.
In addition to the stars of the evening show, those appearing at the fan fest include Cowboy Bob Orton, Piper’s partner at Wrestlemania I and the father of current WWE star, Randy Orton, manager JJ Dillon of the WCW and popular WWE diva Kelly Kelly.

The promotion has been booked at Resorts World Casino for six future shows.
