Things got super ugly at the end of the friendly between Israeli club Maccabi Haifa and French club Lille when a Pro-Palestinian mob invaded the pitch and attacked captain Yossi Benayoun, a former Barclays league standout.

With 5 minutes left in a meaningless friendly, and Lille up 2-0,  fans hopped the railing and began running on the field waving a flag of Palestine. Within minutes a few rioters sprinted directly towards the captain and teammates rushed to his support. Luckily no players were injured in the scuffle in the first time a game was disrupted from the political tension in the Middle East.

Security forces helped disperse the mob who waited outside the arena chanting Pro Palestinian chants.  Europe has been under fire lately with Antisemitism on the rise, in levels reflecting the late 30's.
