Felix Veredjo begins his fight week in New York City

Undefeated Olympian Felix Veredjo (12-0, 9 KOs) started a busy week of activities in New York City Saturday afternoon in the Bronx. He is scheduled for a major undercard bout next Saturday night at Madison Square Garden prior to the Miguel Cotto-Sergio Martinez middleweight title bout that will be televised on HBO Pay-Per-View from Madison Square Garden.

Veredjo, the super featherweight out of San Juan Puerto Rico held a public workout and greeted fans at the annual and popular Puerto Rican Festival in the South Bronx.  Cotto the three-division champion will seek to dethrone Martinez of his middleweight title.

Sunday afternoon, Veredjo will be in a different environment as a spectator in the Bronx watching the Yankees take on the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium.

 Promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions, Top Rank, DiBella Entertainment, and Sampson Boxing, in association with Maravilla Box, PS4, Tecate and Madison Square Garden, the Cotto vs. Martínez World Middleweight Championship event will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View®, beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT.
